Relationships Created Through Empathetic Storytelling

Every personal project stems from some desire to be seen, heard, laughed with, or if you can’t tell the difference, laughed at. There is a need for humans to understand ourselves, and obsessively, we commit to trying to tell everyone around us who we are in an effort to believe the same story we’ve been telling. Sometimes it is a fallacious story. Sometimes it’s the only story we can tell ourselves until we find a better way to interpret it.

We all have quirks which we can choose to define us. I was 10 when I learned to tie my shoes, 15 when I learned “I love you” has radioactive properties, and 24 when I realized I will never have a clue what is really going on around me. But all that thought is rigid with numbers, personal pathologies, and that meddlesome concept of time. What is the point of trying to reach out to a world just as confused as you and I are?

If you expected an answer or Linkedin-level of response in this paragraph, that would have surprised the both of us. We will never have a complete answer of how historical events really occurred, and what the objective measure of the present moment is for you and I. But in truth, I find that uncertainty of existence to be the greatest liberation of thought and ideas that any social contract or order can provide. The act of searching for meaning or purpose, is purposeful.

In this blog, I imagine I will flutter between topics that interest me; such as Lone Wolf and Cub, The Temptations, Fungai, St. Johns Wort, Anorexia and other Mental Health realignments, in some attempt to bake all these disparate ideas into some probiotic against my own sense of existential dread.
